Hi Freckles!!

Posted by Cealiegh of Skye ("Kailie") on August 3, 2008, 12:29 pm

Hi Freckles!!  Hey, maybe you didn't do well with the frizbee, but chasing squirrels is more fun anyway.  I scared one real good today up in Little Mountain!!  And thanks for teaching me that neat trick about running into the water on the way home.  Is my Dad ever choked at me!!  :-)  He let me swim around for a long time when we first got there, then took me through the trails to dry off.  Then on the way back to the car, I pulled your stunt and ducked away to go for another swim.  Dad was standing at the top of the hill, yelling for me, but I just stood there in the water and grinned.  But he got even with me when we got home.  He got out the hose and sprayed me down good.  So I shook all over him!!  (and he was bent down over me when I did it, too!)  Who says we dogs can't get even?!?!

A frisbee trial

Posted by Freckles on July 28, 2008, 11:40 pm

Well, it looks like I was not the star THIS weekend. Hmmmph. This weekend the stars were Frodo and Derby. Muna, Frodo and Derby got to go to a frisbee competition. I didn't go because I prefer flying squirrels rather than a silly plastic disc.

Derby got first place in single disc in trial one, and Frodo got first place in freestyle. I could do it if I wanted to you know. I just think it is all very silly. Who needs all those pretty ribbons anyways.

The second trial, Frodo got first place in single disc, and third in freestyle.

Mom's friend Dave took some pictures. (davemsk@hotmail.com)

I really could be a frisbee star if I wanted.

*sigh*

I guess I will just settle for being beautiful.

Freckles.

Uncle Steve and his dogs

Posted by Freckles on July 13, 2008, 12:37 am

We went to visit Uncle Steve a few days ago. We all got to go out and play frisbee. Uncle Steve convinced me that playing frisbee was fun, but really I prefer to chase squirrels. I will never  get as excited about it as the others.

Uncle Steve's furry kids are CRAZY! LOOK! The jump off his back and they fly through the air!

This is Snippy!

And this is Rojo, Snippy's daughter. They are as crazy about frisbees as I am about squirrels!

I just don't get it...they are not furry and fast, they don't run up and down trees and chatter, and yet they still love to chase them.

Rojo also does a trick called "Halt". She lands on Uncle Steve's back, and she stays there.

That is pretty good! I could do it if I wanted to. HMPH!

Frodo and Muna are frisbee crazy too.

Muna was doing weaves through Uncle's legs.

and Frodo was doing all kinds of fun tricks too, like over Uncle's leg, under him, catching two frisbees at once.

Personally I think they are all nutty. It isn't as much fun as flyball or squirreling.

Still, to each dog his own I suppose.

See You at the Bridge

Posted by Freckles on July 3, 2008, 5:56 pm

Mom is very sad. Her friend Shahna left us on Canada Day. She went to Rainbow Bridge Mom said, to help the animals cross over. Her work here was finished, but there is more for her to do at the bridge. Mom says that Shahna was a warrior, a very strong willed human with a heart bigger than all of outdoors. She said that Shahna was her inspiration.

It is very sad to lose a warrior. It means the soldiers left behind must continue to do her work. Shahna saved hundreds of lives...and she left behind a legacy. Mom would like it very much of you would read this, and then go to Shahna's website, and in her honour, click the paypal link, and donate to Shahna's Shelter of Hope.

We will miss you Shahna. You always were, and always will be, an angel of mercy.

Now I'm REALLY mad!!

Stupid CANADA DAY!!  Oh, I like the idea of being able to just laze around with my folks for a day.  It's just all those darned fireworks - especially the kids with their fireCRACKERS!!  They scare the heck out of me!!  When it was time for bed, I didn't even want to go outside into the yard to conduct my private business.  Having to be escorted out and watched by Dad is embarrassing.

Vacation

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Currantly(will someone leave me a message and tell me if I spelled that right?)I am in a fantastic state where it is humid and tons of lakes. Which mean because it is so humid, I am shedding. Anyway, up here there are no crickets:( So I can not beat everone to them. Dang. If any of you are reading this and happen to know if your Mom's or Dad's have a Bearded Dragon, please leave me a message. Maybe we can become friends? I hope so. (I am not always bratty.) Talk To You Later!
