Just to keep you up-to-date....

......on the Volpmeister. Hooray...finally I can get onto my computer. The Old Fella does seem to hog it too much I can tell you, anybody would think it was his instead of mine. Still, so long as I can get my paws on it now and again I don't like to complain too much. It has been prettyu crazy here since I last spoke to you. That little twerp Volpe is always in the wars. He is the most mischievious brat I've ever seen; yet the Old Couple never seem to cotton on to his stunts. Is it just me or do the younger generation seem to have no respect for us older folks? I reckon if they would let Volpe out on his own he'd graffiti up all the fire hydrants on the street. Mind you, (snicker), he'd have a job as he cannot lift up his leg like most boy dogs do. Anyway, I told you about his visit to the Emergency Vet didn't I? Well, since then his lumps have been going down and he got to feeling much more chipper. The downside to that is that he bugs the heck out of me, steals my chewies constantly and also, if I don't finish it all off, likes to steal my breakfast or my supper. So I make sure I finish it myself. That shows the brat who's Boss in this house. Then, when I've finished my own grub,  I sidle over to his bowl and get stuck in there.   :) Hey, fair's fair eh? Well, there's so much news I don't even know where to start. He has turned into a chewing fiend... the Old Fellas favourite slippers; an unmentionable item from the Missus that looked to me like as twin slingshot...did he shred that or what...:)... the corner of the living room carpet...they've taken that up now...LOL...plus he pulls everything he can get his teeth into. Talking of teeth.....I don't think I told you what Doc Shannon told the Old Fella eh? It seems that the lout is sort of hemophiliac and does not heal too well when he gets a cut. What's that to do with teeth? Well, hs started to bleed in his mouth the other day, and it just would not stop bleeding. The Old Folks were quite concerned, but I was happy as they decided he needed to be kept quiet and put him in his compound. Halleluja, it was so peaceful without that twit underpaw. Well, they discussed what had caused the bleeding. Was it the sharp edges of the chewies; had he caught a twig in his mouth? No-one knows, though Sal did say maybe one of his baby teeth, ("baby" teeth....Yek...), had fallen out. The fact that he bleeds as he does means that he will need to be adopted by a very special family. What else? Oh yes, the Old Fella got in touch with the Border Colie rescue in Ontario. These people are amazingly kind and so generous. They have offered, if The Volpmeister is a suitable candidate, to provide the expertise of an orthotics expert, Janice, to possibly make him an orthotic for his hind leg. He'd need to go to Ontario, so Sal and the Old Fella are busy taking photos of his leg and how he walks. But wouldn't that be nice....I'd have some peace and quiet and get my own home back again? But the Old Fella, dreamer that he is, says that Volpe with an orthotic leg would make a wonderful Ambassador to human children who need artificial limbs. Come to think of it, maybe he isn't always stupid eh?

Well, gotta go....the Old Fella looks like he's coming back into the house, and will want to get onto my computer......

Your friend,

Cleo
