My name is Cealiegh of Skye, but they shorten it down to "Kailie" so that others of the two-legged variety can understand. I was born out in Deleau, Manitoba, at a sheep farm. My real Dad, Rip, was a champion herder, but he has been retired now and gets to lay around the house all day. His work is being done by my Mom, Billy, a brother, Jack, and an new member of the group, Sparky. I was adopted by my human "Mom" & "Dad" and brought into Winnipeg. They had brought my new grand-daughter, Taylor with them when they came for me, and I really love her. When my papers arrived, they found out that back in my family there are two Great Britain National Champions, and a Great Britain International Champions. My "Dad" laughs that I have better breeding than he does.Friends

Watch for this guy!!
Watch for this guy!! I got Mom & Dad to take me over to Little Mountain Park today because the weather was so much nicer. I had a ball, but I have to warn you all. I met up with a brindle-coloured cross-breed that looks like he has some Pit Bull in him.. He's only a pup, but HE PLAYS ROUGH!! It didn't start that way, but Mom & Dad had to pull me away. Then I met up with another Border Collie named "Java". He's a big guy and we got along fine, but when the "pup" came up, he really started knocking Java about. Mom got really worried and I took me to the car. I wasn't going to stay there in case he decided to come after me again. Finally his Dad put a lead on him and took him away, but like I said, he plays rough. Watch out for him.

the weather
I don't know about the rest of you, but I HATE THIS WEATHER!! It's just too darned cold!! It's been so cold that I've been forced to lay there and stare at my Mom until she takes me out into the yard for some exercise. I don't mind the temperature because I already have a nice coat on, but she has to take all sorts of time to put on pants, and boots, and mitts, and a big coat. She did take me over to the off-leash park for a run one day, and ended up looking like an Eskimo with ice formed all around her hood. I was too polite to laugh, but she did look a little funny. My Dad has been busy for the past week and leaving the house long before I get up, so I guess I can forgive him for not taking me out. But NEXT week, I plan to stare at him big time!!
